Cristian Mihail Teodorescu, president and founding member of the Romanian Science Fiction & Fantasy Society (SRSFF) is one of the Guests of Honor at NEMO 2014, the 41st National French Science Fiction Convention in Amiens (17th – 20th of July) together with other prestigious GoHs, the French SF writers, Philippe Curval and Ugo Bellagamba, Prof.Dr.Arthur B. Evans (DePauw University, Indiana, USA), one of the most important contemporary scholars of Jules Verne (between his courses are „Science Fiction in France” and Jules Verne), Managing Editor of “Science Fiction Studies“, the world’s most respected journal for the critical study of science fiction) and the Chinese Professor of literature (Beijing University) and SF author Wu Yan. The writers Aliette de Bodard and Xavier Mauméjean will be also present.
“Cristian-Mihail Teodorescu, né en 1966 à Bucarest, est un chercheur et auteur roumain de science-fiction. “Cristian-Mihail Teodorescu, born in 1966 in Bucharest, Romania, is a researcher ( The National Institute of Materials Physics, Romania) and a writer of science fiction. A physicist since 1990, he completed in 1995 a doctorate thesis in molecular physical chemistry at the Paris Sud University (France), then he worked in France, Germany, Great Britain, and in 2002, he returned to Romania. Author of circa one hundred scientific articles and studies.
Science Fiction: he debuted at the age of 16, was awarded the National SF Prize for short story in 1987, and published the following volumes: “SF one” (2008), “SF two” (2010), “SF three” (probably in 2013). He writes mainly Hard SF. Since 2011, Cristian-Mihail Teodorescu is the President of the Romanian Society of Science Fiction and Fantasy (Societatea Română de Science Fiction & Fantasy=SRSFF).”
