There are quite a few countries in Europe where you probably do not know anything about the fandom at all. Austria is certainly such a terra incognita – probably even to Austrians. The reasons are that the fandom is not well-organized and due to the shared language so much connected to Germany, that not a lot of people would stress out the role of Austrian fandom. But the Austrian radio station Ö1 once made a very good show focused on the topic. It is in German language. It is already four years ago the young female journalists Julia Reuter and Julia Zarbach made this interesting report, but it had been recently rebroadcasted.
