The 2020 Eurocon (FUTURICON) will be in Rijeka, Croatia.
and will be hosted by Rikon from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th October 2020.

”Rijeka, the coastal city in Croatia in which the annual convention Rikon has already been held twenty times, has won the prestigious title of European Capital of Culture 2020. To join in this celebration, the SF society 3. zmaj, is announcing Futuricon – Eurocon 2020.
We’ll combine the most important things the city of Rijeka has to offer – centuries of culture, diversity, and tolerance, with a fresh glimpse into a positive future created by the people who live and breathe culture. With the support of the City and University of Rijeka, as well as other Croatian SF societies, we are confident that we will create a unique European experience for everyone.”
Eurocon 2021 will be hosted in Italy by DeepCon from Thursday 18 March to Sunday 21 March, 2021 in Fiuggi, Italy.
90% of panels will be in English and 10% in Italian, as we will also host Italcon, the Italian SF Convention.
Many panels will focus on Translated European Science Fiction and will be supervised by Francesco Verso, multiple award Italian SF writer and editor of the multicultural project Future Fiction, partner of the convention.

a Science Fiction Special Guest from China, David Lloyd, Hanne Paine, Lolita Fatjo, Eric Stillwell, an actor/actress from a SF TV Show, Giampietro Casasanta (Physics, Concordia Research Station, Antarctica).
The event will receive the patronage of the Italian Space Agency. Probable guest: Italian astronaut Luca Parmitano. The event will receive the patronage of the National Institute for Nuclear Physics. Guest: Marco Casolino, Lead Researcher.
