NEMIRA PUBLISHING HOUSE is one of the first independent publishing houses to be established in Romania, and today, 21 years after it was established, it continues to be one of the most popular institutions on the Romanian book market.
Founded in 1991, Nemira has pursued the mission of promoting Science-Fiction and Fantasy literature in Romania and has translated for the first time in Romanian such authors as Stephen King, Frank Herbert, Philip K. Dick, Orson Scott Card, Robert A. Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Ursula K. Le Guin, George R. R. Martin or Robin Hobb.
Founded by Nemira in 1992, NAUTILUS is the most renowned SF & Fantasy book series in Romania, as well as one of the longest-running literary series in the country. Bringing some of the largest names of the genre to the Romanian audience, and with well over 300 titles published in the past 20 years, Nautilus gained for Nemira the Best European SF Publisher award at Eurocon 1994.
