The F.A.C.T.S. convention is undoubtedly the largest convention in Belgium. Several thousands of visitors attend this event every year. A lot of them are costumed. F.A.C.T.S. 2012 will take place on the weekend of Saturday 20 to Sunday 21 of October 2012 in Flanders Expo in Ghent. With more than 120 dealers from Belgium, the Netherlands, France, the UK,… the emphasis lies on merchandise. You can buy old and new DVD’s, CDs, magazines, board games, card games, role-playing games, action figures, toys, posters, photos, anime, manga, books, model kits, collector items and much, much more.

But F.A.C.T.S. offers more than just merchandise. Comic artists and well-known artists are invited. This year Charles Dance, James Callis, Colin Wilson, Janina Gavankar, Norman Reedus, Ian Whyte, Adrien Floch, Lucio Leoni, Lectrr and others will come to Ghent. (Unfortunately there are no authors invited) The guests will be doing photo sessions, autograph sessions and Q & A sessions.

Other activities at F.A.C.T.S. are a cosplay competition, demonstrations sword fighting and Japanese martial arts, a game zone, live performances by The Super Mario Brothers All Stars Band and the Japanese electro-rock band Galaxy 7. Several fan clubs gather at F.A.C.T.S.: Logan’s Run Fan Club, The Thunderbolts Gent, the 59ème Légion, 501st Prospectors Squad, TeeKay-421, Eleanor, Rebel Legion Benelux Base, 501st Prospectors Squad, The Belgian Voyage Club, Be Cosplay…  Last but not least, there is an afterparty ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ on Saturday in the Tijuana Club, Ghent.
