European astronomers from La Silla Observatory, Chile, using a 3.6 meter telescope, discovered a new exoplanet. Its distance to the star, only about 4 million miles (6,5 million kilometers), makes this planet an inferno improper for the life as we know. Except for Vulcanians, perhaps.
At La Silla Observatory worked, till 2007, Valentin Ivanov, astronomer and science fiction writer from Bulgaria. If we succeed to contact him, we’ll tell you more about this new world, considering that Alpha Centauri is a favorite destination for science fiction writers.
