Dario Tonani had won the Cassiopea Award (Italy)

Dario Tonani_Cassiopea Award„Mondo9” (World9) by Dario Tonani is the book chosen by the novels judging panel of the Cassiopea Award.

Organized by the Trieste’s association Sogni nel Cassetto (Dreams in the Drawer) and promoted by the writer Fabiana Redivo, Cassiopea is a prize awarded by a jury for the best italian science fiction novel published in the previous year. The award ceremony of the first edition took place on Saturday, March 16th in Fiuggi, after the gala dinner of the Deepcon 2013.

The prestigious jury included the writer Giovanni De Matteo (Urania Award), the writer Fabio Novel, the translator Silvia Castoldi, and the president of the jury, the writer Lanfranco Fabriani (Urania Award).

The jury awarded the Cassiopea’s third place to „Olonomico” (Holonomic) by Sandro Battisti (CiEsse Press), the second place to „Trans Human Express” by Lukha Kremo (Kipple) and the first place to „Mondo9” by Dario Tonani (Delos Books).
