TerBi (Bilbao Science-Fiction literary circle) organizes twice per year a specifically dedicated event, with lectures and book presentations. The next one will be held on May 17th, at La Bolsa building, in the Bilbao old town. (TerBi Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/60167318666/)
New novel of the “Espiral Science Fiction” Collection
The 54th book of the “Espiral Science Fiction” collection has been released. This is a fan-publishing initiative that succeded for 20 years to publish science fiction titles in Spanish. The current is “Antes del primer día” (Before the First Day) written by Raul A. López Nevado. The plot takes place on Jupiter´s satellite Europa, where a spaceman have to carry out a dangerous mission. Raul A. Lopez Nevado has published many stories in the Spanish science fiction media and won several literary awards.

The UPC Science Fiction Award Winners
The Catalonia Politechnics University SF contest is one of the most prestigious European science-fiction awards (Premio UPC de ciencia-ficción).
The 2010 and 2012 UPC science fiction Award winning novellas are available.
The 2010 winner “Súperextragrande”, written by Yoss, it´s a funny story about a veterinary. And the novel which won the 2012 award, “La epopeya de los amantes”, written by Miguel Santander García, blends current past ages, science and mythology

Women writing SF : A science fiction anthology of feminine writing
“Alucinadas 2014” (2014 Hallucinated) is a science fiction anthology who will comprise short stories of women writers, scheduled for late 2014 edition, calling for stories –between 6.000 and 8.000 words -.

“Alfa Eridiani” new issue

Ricardo Manzanaro Arana, a medical doctor and an university professor, is the President of the TerBi Asociación Vasca de CF Fantasía y Terror (TerBi Basque Association of Fantasy & Horror) from Bilbao, Spain. Ricardo has published over forty stories in various media and he’s a contributor to EUROPA SF and Amazing Stories.
