“Vitoria Fantástica” Cycle of Lectures and Book Presentations in Vitoria-Gasteiz
Some lectures and book presentations are announced at “Vitoria Fantástica” (Fantastic Vitoria”) in the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz (northern Spain: the capital city of the province of Álava and of the autonomous community of the Basque Country), that will be held from February to April 2014. The event includes two book presentations, “Caperucita y otros relatos vascos de terror” (Hood and Other Terror Stories) written by Mikel Rodríguez (on 26th of February) and “Bosques” (Forests) written by Laura Garrido (on 1st of April)and two lectures, “Elogio de la mala literatura” (In Praise of the Bad Literature) by the writer Cesar Mallorquí (on April the 9th), and “De Frankenstein a Terra Nova: 200 años de literatura de ciencia-ficción” (From Frankenstein to Terra Nova: 200 years of science-fiction literature) by Mariano Villarreal, one of the editors of “Terra Nova” anthologies and coordinator of “Literatura Fantástica” web site on the 18th of March.

Gift from “Espiral Ciencia-Fición” to TerBi Award Topic Story Contest’s Winner and Finalists
Until February 28th short stories can be sent to the IV TerBi Award Topic Science Fiction Story Contest (this year’s theme is “The End of the Capitalism and the New Economic Model). Lovecraft Day at Alcobendas
Alcobendas Art Center will be the focal point of the Lovecraft Comemoration Day (during the La Mano Film Festival), on March 15th. The event includes lectures, colloquia, artwork displays and contests, film screenings, role playing, music, cooking, and a Horror Dessert Contest. Who will be the Best Cthulhu Invoker ?

Last “Espiral CF”’s collection success
Juan José Aroz, Espiral Ciencia-Ficción collection’s editor has reported that the last collection issue, including two novellas (“Zaibatsu” and “La edad del vuelo” – “Flight age” -), has been very successful, and in four months whole edition was sold “Espiral SF” publish science fiction in Spanish since 19 years. http://aroz.izar.net/
Spain is the Guest of Honor to the French SF Festival “Imaginales”
The Imaginales Festival‘s 13th edition will be held in the french city of Épinal, from 22nd to 25th of May. This edition Spain is the guest honor country, and GoH writers will be the spaniards Juan Miguel Aguilera, Javier Negrete and the cuban artist Yoss ( José Miguel Sánchez Gómez).
