Comic Cons are quite common in the US, but also in other European countries. But now a Comic Con sets place in Linz, the third biggest city in Austria and the capital of the state Upper Austria from the 19th to the 20th of March, 2016.
The location for the Austria Comic Con is the Design Center. It is a building made of glass and steel as a hommage to Linz that is also called the “Steel City”, due to the production of this metal on a high level. The Design Center is a well-known location for congresses and fairs on various topics, we certainly have to expect anything big. It does not seem to be a fan-made con, the webpage of the con states a Czech enterprise as organizer.

But however, there is a lot to expect, fair stands, comic artists, panels and workshops. A big topic beside comic (including manga) is Star Wars. The Austria Campionship is Cosplay is also held there.
