Archipelacon – The Nordic Convention in 2015


Pirate Swans – Arrr!Archipelacon is a new Nordic convention that will be held in Mariehamn, in the Åland islands, Finland June 25–28, 2015.

The convention will have a Nordic flair but will be international and welcomes everybody from all over Europe and the world! The majority of the programming will be in English.

The Guests of Honour confirmed so far are Johanna Sinisalo from Finland and Karin Tidbeck from Sweden. There will be at least one additional international GoH.

The convention venue is the Alandica Culture & Congress Centre, located by the sea in the centre of Mariehamn. The convention promises interesting people, lots of quality programming, several excellent restaurants in the immediate vicinity, and good sightseeing and shopping opportunities for its members. The organizing committee is headed by Sari Polvinen from Finland and Johan Anglemark from Sweden, and comprises a bunch of experienced conrunners from Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Germany.

The convention membership is 30 €, with a youth membership of 10 € for people under 26.
