Anders Bellis writes in the excellent Wolf von Witting’s CounterClock english language fanzine about the SF “Fandom in Greece” :

    A. L. E. F. (ΑΘΗΝΑΪΚΗ ΛΕΣΧΗ ΕΠΙΣΤΗΜΟΝΙΚΗΣ ΦΑΝΤΑΣΙΑΣ),  the Science Fiction Club of Athens, Greece founded in 1998, has 120 members, 50 to 60 of them active. Informal meetings are held every Saturday in the Enastron Café on 101 Solonos Street in central Athens, from noon and onwards.

    Alef Meeting 1

There is a bookshop in the café, stocking quite a lot of science fiction literature.
More formal meetings, featuring short story readings, screenings of sci fi films, talks, and so forth, are held every second Sunday, but not in the café. The club also issues a sci-fi magazine named “Fantastika Chronika” (Fantastic Chronicles). The president of the  A. L. E. F. SF Club is Vaggelis Kritikos.”
